The Falcons can’t afford to cut Ryan and he’s too expensive to trade. $48.7M cap hit next year with a $40.5M dead money hit. Atlanta can June-1st him, which would suck for Ryan, they’d save $23.75M ($24.9M dead in 2022), and lose $15.6M in 2023. But who’re they going to spend that money on at that point? Nice to see former 49er Kenrick Bourne get the ball in his hands more now that he's on a new squad. Their next few games are against some rough opponents on paper, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out. Falcons look in complete disarray. No idea how that franchise turns itself around.
