That's like 50 pounds of added muscle. That isn't easy to do regardless of means or motive.

Seems to me it would have been far easier to find a stunt double around his size or a little bigger than to expect RP to gain that much upper body mass

Possibly. Thats on the production team though. RP has certainly done what he needs to do IMO

There is no way that's even close to 50 lbs and those aren't typical before/after pictures. That first picture is clearly from his Twilight days.

Purposefully, since that was what was mentioned in the discussion.

I really doubt he started bulking up 10 years ago but you can be obtuse if you want.

Not as obtuse as thinking growing up and establishing certain habits over time don't influence your body in any way at all.

Most guys who are that huge are ****ty actors.  I don't think people realize how much of an albatross guys like Hemsworth and Affleck are that have the acting chops AND the natural size.

If you had said Arnold I was going to slap you ;)

How have I implied that outlook?

I'm using your flawed logic back at you. Personally I think Pattinson looks fine in the Batsuit, I'm not that concerned about the weight. He was never going to be Batfleck.

Your original post I quoted, however, was pretty much wrong on every level. Using two pictures set a decade apart showing progress any actor could achieve in 3-6 months and then somehow making the baffling conclusion that the difference was 50 lbs of muscle is frankly pure nonsense.

1)   That isnt 50 lbs of muscle.  Get real.

2)   He is obviously in shape, but not Batman shape.

The post I was responding to claimed that he was twilight sized in Batman. Context matters

I can't speak for others, but if I had to guess, I think most of us assumed the "After" picture was what he looked like in his twilight days.

That "Before" picture looks damn near anorexic.
