While in most cases I'd agree, this isn't the NBA. Teams draft for needs all the time, and it works out. Need a FQB, you draft one. Need a OT, you draft one. Need a Pass Rusher, you draft one. (Need a WR) like my Eagles, you trade a draft pick and get AJ Brown. Now whether or not that FO "drafted" the correct player is up for grabs. The NFL draft is a crapshoot at best. Where 50% of 1s rd picks bust! That percentage drops each consecutive rd that follows. There are no BPA guarantees! Just educated guesses. Having a "potential " 1st rd grade mean jack squat when 32 teams chose not to take them. In all 4 cases, the Packers chose someone else, chose another position or chose to move out?. Correct? We all know he can make throws like that in clutch situations but you can't play like that all the time and expect to get it done.
