He deserves this record. 19 straight years averaging 25 PPG or better (26+ PPG in 15 of 19 years) is just absurd. Man has the most mileage on his body in NBA history and is approaching 46,000 career points including playoffs. 38 years old, averaging 30 PPG and still a top 5-10 player in the game. He's unprecedented. I don't care who he is off the court. On the court, he's a top 2 player in NBA history and he's done it under a microscope since he was 17 years old. They don't build them like LeBron James anymore. Of course, he's only 36 points short so he very well could break it vs OKC but them ticket prices for the Milwaukee game certainly tell a story... They'd need 2018-2020 Ben Simmons to show back up, end up with Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson, and for Mike Conley to turn back the clock 5 years. He shows up to work and plays with no drama. Cam need to get consistent real playing time. Every time he does he shines bright. He is clutch in the big moments. So again I’m not saying Cam talent is close to Kyrie. We all get mesmerized by Kyrie talent we forget how poor he is as a teammate. Great human but he threatened to get surgery if he didn’t get traded from the Cavs bc he didn’t want to be in the shadow of LeBron. Things were even worse when went to Boston. Both times he also lied to the fanbase saying how he wanted to come back even though he really wanted to leave. Now in Brooklyn at least I gave him the benefit of the doubt playing basically home for his childhood team and with his best friend KD. If he can come back with the Dubs at around 30-30 or 29-31 or something then play-in is still likely.
