He has the two most important things Vrabel looks for in veteran acquisitions. A recent injury history and time with the Texans. So this is a real possibility.

I’d honestly be mad because why would we pay Dhop and not AJ lol.. Unless they take on most of the contract

To be fair, I think the primary reason we didn’t pay AJ is no longer employed by the organization.

isn't he also the primary reason for our most infamous old and injured receiver though? if KT's guy is to be believed, robinson was the driving force behind the julio trade and vrabel didn't much care for it.

Well yeah, Julio had only ever played for the Falcons. What’s the point if he wasn’t in Houston at the same time as Vrabel?

Trading for an over 30 year old receiver on a massive contract doesn't seem like a good way to go about a "rebuild". Pass.

He's worth more to teams that expect to be contending and also need a WR. Ravens could use him as a big target for Lamar Jackson.

we are just begging to add him to the list of over the hill WR's that we've had in the past.
We'd get him and all the sudden he'll not be able to run 10 yards down the field anymore.

As I said in the other thread if we keeping Tannehill and Henry style team then we are saying we are still in win now mode.

So maybe a trade for a Hopkins like deal should be on the table. Ideally someone younger. But someone....

Only issue with trading for Hopkins is what it might cost us.  We shouldn't give up any good picks as we have so many needs.  If we had to trade a 1st for Hopkins I'd much rather just use that pick on a WR instead.

Right now we almost need to trade back unless some stud falls to #11 (doubtful one of the top 3 QBs will).

It is a risk to trade back and we probably get a little less LT if that is the way we go but it will be worth it getting an extra pick or two in the top 100.   We basically need OT, QB, OG/C, WR on offense and Edge and secondary help on defense.  We really need the extra picks unless we close some gaps in FA.

If we are keeping Tannehill or going to replace him with a QB of that nature, we are going to have to surround them with as much talent as possible. It has been proven that he can not carry a team and won't be able to get us anywhere without a good OL, good WRs, Good TE's and a good playcaller.
