Losing Bell in addition to Bates was still a bad move. They may sign Nick Scott or Taylor Rapp to take Bell's place but those guys are probably downgrades in Anarumo's scheme. Adding Brown on the cheap is a great move but it probably wouldn't have happened if he'd stuck to his original asking price.

We need to sort out the depth chart at RT and trade Jonah or cut Lael. Then add a vet RB and cut Mixon. We still should re-sign Apple and Flowers and add a stopgap vet TE to pair with a rookie.

They will re-structure Mixon now that there are no free agents left they were targeting.  They may cut Collins, but if they can afford him, why not keep him for depth once he comes off PUP?  They gave him money up front, so his cap hit might be close enough to his dead cap hit to keep him as depth/injury insurance.

The further into free agency we go, the more that the TE demands will go down.  I look for them to target Gesecki on a one year deal, let him tear it up, then let him go back on the market next offseason.

I really don't think they're going to restructure Mixon.  They've said the right things publicly, but they know he's not a fit for the offense.  He's going to be cut.  It's just a matter of signing/drafting the replacements first, and then he's gone.  Sucks for Mixon, but it's always how they do business.

After day 1, the money he wanted was gone.  No one had it anymore, and he wasn't going to get it.  If OBj had stuck to his original asking price, he'd be in street clothes come August.

This is the advantage of waiting the first wave out - you can get deals.  And this is only the first.  They're going to get more good deals by waiting it out.

Cutting Collins gives the team about 6 mil in cap space unless they wait or designate him a post June 1 cut. Then they'd save about 7 mil in 2023 but have some dead money in 2024.
