He’s thrown some absolute gems that have amounted to no decisions and losses. He’ll have a better chance at more records next year too. ttitansfan4life Posted July 9, 2022 Share Posted July 9, 2022 (edited) Love that the Phillies announcers are trashing Oli and the management. 4 guys in the Cardinals lineup today batting well under .200 in Nootbar, Knizner, Sosa, and Dickerson. Even said that they thought the Cardinals were in the thick of things for the playoffs. Sad the outside organizations announcers can even spot issues with this team but the idiot upstairs can’t. His big FA signings being Matz and Dickerson this past offseason. That’s how you improve the team right there. JonStark Posted July 10, 2022 Share Posted July 10, 2022 I'm really hoping Oli stops messing with the lineup every day. Guys can't get in a groove when they bat 5th, then 2nd, then 8th, then leadoff. Not to mention Yepez is literally the opposite of what a #2 guy should be. Was hoping he left Helsley in for the 9th too, but it really doesn't matter because you can win a game scoring 0 runs. Either let Yepez handle it, or go get an OF. Don’t need to keep rotating Nootbar, Edman and Donovan out there. With the Yankees in on Benintendi, seems like his price is going to be to high. If we hide LF to Yepez, does open back up DH, would still love Josh Bell, but we won’t spend that much. A package for Trey Mancini and Lyles (to soak up some innings) does seem appealing at this point. If they basically salary dump him, would you take a flyer the rest of the year on Joey Gallo?
