I can and will deny the speed 😁

Sure, he may be fast in shorts on a track but in pads with a guy in front of him he’s positively pedestrian and that’s his problem. No explosion or agility or nuance. Hopefully he can improve all those traits but he’s far from an impact player at the moment. Obviously, we hope he improves but his best games are forgettable with an odd flash here or there.

Also, his power is not what it should be given his raw strength as he plays too upright and slow. If he can accelerate and leverage then the power will be evident, Maxx should be the perfect example of how it’s done.

Hopefully he takes his hand skills and agility work very seriously. He has it, but he needs to master his craft.

Tyree is slowly becoming that guy everyone sticks to their pre-draft analysis on while the world looks on puzzled at what the heck they're talking about.

He's not fast in games. He's not quick or particularly agile. He does do much wowing with all of the raw strength he supposedly has. He looks smallish for his listed size. He has very little bend. No pass rush moves to speak of.

Dude has a loooong way to go. I really don't think he makes it beyond his rookie deal here, tbh. There's not enough flash, the learning curve required isn't justified, and less heralded guys with lesser claimed raw talent just outshine him too often.

If we already had someone helping Maxx and the point was to stash Wilson for the future, I'd be more optimistic about his chances. But we need help now and he's done himself almost no favors. If it's year 3 or 4 before he finally learns how to play, chances are we've already dipped back into the draft well and taken a replacement for him. If he's not leaps amd bounds better next off season, it's gonna be tough for him to stick- and that's assuming he doesn't get the Leatherwood treatment by a new staff.

I reserve judgement until 2024. I just wanted to see a few flash plays this year.
