Drake Maye definitely trending downwards these past couple games. Any changes in their coaching staff? I know they lost Matt Downs at WR.

Phil Longo is at Wisconsin as the OC and he lost Josh Downs and Antoine Green both to the NFL.  Clearly his WR group is pretty weak especially without Walker being able to play, and the OC change is big but they also had a back run for over 200 yards the last game so clearly he will not be passing much when you have a back get 9 yards a carry on 26 carries and 3 TDs, had 2 TDs the game before...

But to call him bad after those two games, not so sure about that.  Ewers is doing great because he has a good supporting cast, offensive HC and a great defense.  Texas's fourth WR is probably the best WR on UNC if he was on UNC, Isaiah Neyor and he does not even play on Texas currently really.

Ewers is a big time arm talent but Drake Maye has better pocket fundamentals and better footwork arguably.  Ewers again has a better OC, better OL, better WRs and better TEs along with much better defense than Drake Maye has on UNC.  Amazing play by Ewers on the road at Bama, but now we will see if they can keep that up and change from being the hunter to the hunted.  Moore's injury before made him not 100% or as effective and clearly Downs was not doing great in that game, apparently threw up all over the sidelines and was not 100% either and did make some freshman errors....  So that Bama secondary had some issues and Texas no question took advantage of it, but sure helps when the other QB basically throws almost two pick six TDs for the other team.  One INT returned to the Bama 5 yard line the other returned to the Bama 30 yard line.  Those two things do not happen it is a different ball game.

Talented? Yeah. Good? I'm not so sure.

Ummmm  Worthy is easily a top 3 WR in next years draft and Sanders is a top 3 TE in next years draft and Baxter could be a star RB in the future and Whittington will no question be drafted with his toughness after the catch and Mitchell has a good chance to be drafted as well this year or the next.  And Banks on the OL easily has a chance to be a 1st round pick in 2025 and would not be shocked if two other OL off Texas got drafted as well.

As for UNC, maybe a TE will be a late round pick and not sure anyone else will be a drafted player honestly, maybe one or two.   So yeah the talent gap between those two teams offensively is quite a lot.  That is not even considering Sarkisian as the playcaller who is one of the best in the country no question about it.

What because they struggled against Wyoming at the start last week that is why?  That is human nature and it just shows how difficult it is to perform with expectations that are crazy high, go ask Alabama about that one and how difficult that is week in and week out.

If Worthy is a top 3 WR in this year's draft, then this year's draft is horrendous. He's shockingly inconsistent.

They all are. Everyone except Sanders has suspect hands.

There is a talent gap, sure, that's what I said. The Texas guys rarely play to their talent though. That was my point.

He is easily top 3, Marvin Harrison Jr #1, let us say Worthy is not a #2 and Nabers takes that spot but not sure that will be the case when Worthy runs a 4.3.  Johnny Wilson is high level but does have drop issues and Wells Jr on South Carolina is talented but not sure he is top three and Egbuka on Ohio State is good but he is not the burner Worthy is.  Who cares about inconsistency, they are what 19-20 year old football players?  Again looks like human nature and yeah staying on top and living up to very high expectations is hard, does not mean Worthy is not an elite WR talent for the up coming class.
