Now this is an even more rare surgery than the TJS since it's fairly new (I think it's a decade old?) and the first two who got it aren't NFL starters, so Purdy will probably be the first *real* case study on what it looks like for a guy to come back. Mullens looked awful for the Eagles in preseason....but he's also a third string QB, so he could have just been playing like a third string QB, hard to say lol. There could be some other good news, too. When ulnar collateral surgery is required due to wear and tear, including that of a professional thrower, the odds of recurrence are higher than after a traumatic injury (e.g. Haason Redick's hit on Purdy's arm). Not because I don't have the confidence in the team, or Sam Howell. I don't want to jinx it. Sam Howell with completely new Offense under Eric Bienemy? (Lots of RPO's) Defense with upgrades, draft picks & Chase Young in a contract year? (5th year option declined) Plus, elite D-line? Powerful Running game? Elite WR core? Dan Snyder gone?
