Nobody has said Carr hasn’t been an issue as well. There are likely several examples like the one posted, but they are nowhere near as bad as Carmichael. The Carmichael issue predates Carr. Saints fans have been calling for his head well beyond just this season due to his lack of creativity and putting his playmakers in positions to succeed. We rarely have ran screens and other routes getting Kamara into space, seldom use motion to potentially isolate a gamebreaking threat like Shaheed in space, and hardly have ran any crossing routes with a guy literally nicknamed “slant boy” as he has feasted on those routes throughout his career. Carmichael is the biggest issue on the Saints offense and nothing else (such as Carr) really comes close.
BroncoSojia
Whenever QB play is subpar, the OC/playcaller is ALWAYS blamed. Has there ever been a case where a QB is playing bad and fans say that the play calling is decent it's just that the QB is not executing? Multiple things can suck at once. It can be play calling and QB play. Though, that looks like cover 2 anyways. Depends a bit on what routes the perimeter guys are running, if they should be stopping or if they're just go routes. But as soon as the trigger is pulled on either deep ball the safeties are moving right there.

Didn't Vrabel say something when he was bashing Levis about not wanting to attack the sidelines against Cover-2?

Would have to be someone with an established pedigree like a Kyle Shanahan for coach to get infinite benefit of the doubt from the couch critics. Geno Smith this year is one of the few example I can think of. Waldron is calling (for the most part) a good game, Smith just has trouble executing it this year (compared to last one at least). Majority of Seahawks things I've read are attributing the blame on Geno more than anyone else. But yeah, the OC is usually the first to get blamed for sure. On the flipside, they're getting a fair share of the praise when they're doing a good job. Ben Johnson is getting propped up more than Goff, same thing with McDaniel/Tua in Miami. Jalen Hurts has the season of his life and one of the greatest SB performances ever and it's still not enough to beat Mahomes playing on one leg. Sometimes in sports one guy is just that much better than everyone else. That’s boring though so We try to force conversations and debates that don’t really need to happen
