Rewatching some of the games, AOC just shut down i.e. vs the Chiefs/Vikings and not being able to move the chains with your legs is a huge L these days. Exactly! I like AOC I think he's got it upstairs and I won't count him out, but he needs to show that he's lost some weight and worked on some mobility, because last year when we won that Chiefs game I came away saying to myself that he's not a starting QB in this league.
Geezy
Minshew has experience and mobility on his side. Has enough to get it deep to keep defenses semi honest, unlike anyone not names AOC last year. AOC deserves a shot, but if he isnt quicker getting the ball out hes not a guy you can count on with his lack of athleticism. I expect Minshew to start.

On top of that if he's too slow to do roll outs and read options, things like that it limits the playbook.

It’s probably foot work or nerves. this is really interesting because we’re going to find out if it’s easier to develop a persons body or his mind.

I think the body in this case, if he trains he can get better, of course he won't become a track star, but when you train yourself to do certain things you haven't done, you can get better to a point. I believe he can improve just enough if he works at it. He can definitely get stronger, faster, lighter, and more flexible, but he has to work on those things. Who would you sign? Probably a CB to add some experience, there’s still a few formerly very good players out there or possibly an edge like Carl Lawson, he had an Achilles injury I think but should be cheap and has been decent. Specifically to help get after the QB on third and long. They would be great helping rush the passer when we're trying to send 5+. Other than that, I really don't see a legit use for the other players you listed. Maybe one of the vet CBs would make sense. But that's really it. I would like to bring back Gabe Jackson as well. But I don't see us having a position open for him to be a starter, so I doubt he signs with us.

Dupree signed for the Chargers, we have Koonce & Wilson along with Maxx not sure an expensive DE is likely tbh. Someone like Lawson coming off an injury on a prove it year I could understand tho.

Charles Leno would be a cool vet OL on the cheap. Born and raised in Oakland. Be like another Peat, could start at tackle or even kick inside. Would be a great depth piece in a pivotal unit.
