I'd rather start with a soft-ball game given all the new changes and our propensity to play better as a team as the year goes on. Only positive I see with this is the Bears will have to deal with LaFleur's offense basically without any film other than generic preseason stuff.

Take the crown, get the bag. Let's see what fire we play with. With Pettine in year two a Trubisky led offense doesn't really scare me. Time to retake the north.

Think you all should be in play for Leveon Bell...Packers = perfect fit for him, I think.

While I love his talent, I do not love his price tag.
We're already paying Rodgers out the wazoo. Don't think its feasible to have a healthy cap with him AND Lev.

A couple POSITIVE thoughts from last year:

We had the #8 passing defense

Blake Martinez had 144 tackles and 5 sacks as an ILB. Compare that to Ray Lewis/Brian Urlacher/Junior Seau and Patrick Willis on a single season basis.

Kenny Clark had 6 sacks as a NT.

We had two rookie CBs with over 10 PDs

Geronimo Allison was on pace for a 1200 yard season.

Jamaal Williams has 1500 YDS from scrimmage and 9 TDs in 15 career starts.

Aaron Jones was on pace for 1800 YDS from scrimmage and 18 TDs.

The #8 in passing defense is not the correct way to look at it. By ANY/A, GB's passing defense was 6th worst. By Expected Points Allowed, they were also 6th worst. Passer rating allowed, 5th worst. NY/A (doesn't factor in sacks) they were 10th worst. The passing defense was bad last year.

It's like no one has read anything from outpost before.

No, this one I'm being completely serious, and I'm not trying some reverse jinx here.

Zero playoff experience for two straight years.  How many players on our roster next year will even have played in a playoff game?
First year head coach.

It's not going to happen.
