If they want him for a few more seasons that decision is going to need to be made this offseason. Ignoring him and his agent will lead to his departure next year in FA unless you tag him which is never the cheaper option. The salary cap not rising as much as thought, plus having to pay the bottom of your roster quite a bit more when you add it all up and I’m not surprised about the lower than expected offers. I’m just not seeing a lot more activity because of those factors. The numbers will drop again after the crazy period is over.
