Haven’t looked so I thought I’d ask in here first but, Anyone get any updates on Lewis Cine?

He's in Minny and on a long road to recovery. Pre-surgery procedure and the surgery were a success.

I don't think there have been any other updates

when/where did you read this?

"It was awesome to see [Cine] down with our guys in the training room, and he's in great spirits. He looks great, and I cannot say enough about the care that he received," O'Connell said to Twin Cities reporters. "A tip of the cap to our medical team and medical staff that stayed back with him and then obviously the transition to get him back here in our building was bigtime, and it was great to see him."

The Vikings activated wide receiver Blake Proehl from the Physically Unable to Perform List. In order to make room for him on the roster, the team has waived safety Myles Dorn.

Proehl signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2021 after a successful career at East Carolina University. He suffered a knee injury in Training Camp last year that saw him injure multiple ligaments and was placed on injured reserve, ending his season. He started camp this year on the Physically Unable to Perform list, a status that carried over to the start of this regular season.

Proehl returned to practice a couple of weeks ago, opening a 21-day window where the Vikings had to decide whether to bring him back to the active roster or leave him on PUP, which would end his season again. They have decided to bring him to the roster to add some more to the wide receiver room.

The Vikings activated receiver Blake Proehl from the reserve/physically unable to perform list Monday. On Tuesday, Minnesota announced it waived Proehl. Minnesota recently made a similar move with linebacker Ryan Connelly before re-signing him to the practice squad.

The Vikings also announced they signed safety Myles Dorn to the practice squad. They terminated the practice squad contract of rookie safety Mike Brown in a corresponding move.

Minnesota's two highest-scoring quarters so far this season have come as a result of its success at the end of halves and the game. The Vikings have scored 61 points in second quarters and 51 points in fourth quarters.

The Vikings have scored 21 points in first quarters, leaving the thirds as their lowest-scoring quarters, and it's not even close. Through six games, Minnesota has scored just six points in third quarters, ranking second-to-last in the NFL. Denver is last with five points in third quarters.

In total, the Vikings have run 60 plays in third quarters, but they have only recorded 177 yards. Minnesota's average time of possession in third quarters (7:02) ranks 28th in the NFL.

lousy 3rd quarter performances, but still 5-1...? gotta love that we have room for improvement!

Need to identify why they close out well in the second quarter and play flat in the third quarter and would assume early fourth quarter as well if much of the scoring comes at the end of the 4th quarter. Hopefully this can be corrected, good football teams simply can’t throw away a quarter each game like MN has so far.

since it's a RUMOR thread too, there's yak out there about Beckham Jr coming to Minny....

Gaining Beckham could be a move that would help the Vikings do something more than get to the divisional round and lose to a better team. Maybe Beckham could help the Vikings be that better team.

Remember, whoever gets Beckham keeps him from going to another team. For the Chiefs, it’s about keeping him from the Bills. For the Vikings, it could be about keeping him from the Packers. Or maybe the Cowboys.

Beckham continues to be in a great spot. He can wait to pick the right horse, after the race plays out for a few more weeks. While plenty of teams are bunched together, separation may happen as the season continues to unfold.

It would be something to see Beckham making his debut against the Cowboys on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, or against the Patriots on Thanksgiving night.

If, as has been reported, Beckham will be ready to go in the middle of November, Week 11 vs. the Cowboys would be a great time for Beckham to make his debut. That’s when the Vikings start a stretch of six games with five at home and the other indoors in Detroit. Beckham could help Minnesota win enough to get one or more home games in the postseason.
