If this is the case doctors will recommend that he not compete in high intensity sports. This is based off of Hank Gathers being mentioned. Could be something different though. This puts him at a much higher risk of heart related issues including sudden cardiac death. Couple years ago a basketball player discovered a heart condition and was forced to retire. Basketball is a little more sensitive because of gathers but these types of situations the league might want to step in depending on the diagnosis and how severe it is. Funny Ravens are allowed to void a contract based upon an old ankle injury but the league does nothing about a potentially deadly condition. Your making assumptions though because we don't know the diagnoses. The fact that it's the same thing that he had as a freshman and played all four years with no issues should be a marker. I wanted Dickson, but a guy like Hurst has a chance to have a far more immense impact so I can't complain one shred. We'll get by on a punter grabbed from somewhere.
