Everyone that has said Sansa has become tough as nails and a badass character is 100% right. When Arya gave her a knife and she asked her what she’s supposed to do with a knife and then sobbing when she got down to the crypt and then hiding while the wights kill all the young children and stuff. Yeah, tough as naaaaails

Not sure if true, but i saw on twitter that the only way to kill a white walker and the night king was to stab it exactly where the children of the forest first created them. If true did Arya just get lucky with it or did she know where to stab him?

Battle of the Bastards: Sansa bails Jon out after his terrible strategy goes wrong.

Battle of Winterfell: Arya bails Jon out after his terrible strategy goes wrong.

North of the Wall: Dany bails Jon out after his terrible strategy goes wrong.

He is a great individual leader (like a Sergeant) and great fighter, but the dude should be nowhere near the war planning table.

Sansa kept vital information from Jon - the fact that the army from the Vale was close and could help immediately.  He thought he would have to wait weeks or months for them to get there, and Jon wasn't about to sit around and let his brother be mutilated waiting for allies to show up that he's never met before and couldn't trust.

Dany's the one who messed up the Battle of Winterfell plan.  Her and Jon were supposed to wait for the NK to show up in the Godswood, but Dany couldn't stand to see the sight of her Dothraki being obliterated so did the stupidest thing she could do - bailed on the strategy that everyone spent days discussing and agreeing to.

The "North of the Wall" idea was Tyrion's.

EDIT:  If anything, Jon needs better allies.

The show writers mentioned it after the episode. Almost makes me think Bran must have been communicating with her because otherwise she would absolutely no idea.

Was it where the Hound taught her to stab someone?

That episode was exhausting in both a good and bad way. The first twenty minutes were literally unwatchable until Milsandre lit the Dothraki swords. Even then, the battle scenes were fairly choppy, especially with the dragons. Borderline unwatchable.

There were some fantastics scenes though. Jon walking through Winterfell near the end of the episode is top 5 scene of all time. Jorah going out on his sword was BA, but like where the hell did he come from? The timeline for the battle was just all over the place.

Literally Bran Warging into the Raven was completely meaningless to the episode. Literally WTF- he could've been giving advice to everyone, keeping tabs on the NK, etc. Just terrible and unnecessary.

How the heck did Arya get out of that room and past the Wights. She was literally having a massive mental breakdown and forgot all her faceless man skills literally two seconds before. So we're supposed to believe that her saying "not today" changed everything and she was able to fight through Winterfell, to the garden, AND Kill the NK? This is a fanstasy show and I still don't believe that.

Also, the whole build up and conclusion was pathetic. The White Walkers symbols- Meaningless. Them converting babies- Meaningless. Literally the build up to the battle of mankind was completely pointless, and the White Walkers had 0 impact on the show as a whole. They literally did nothing for the entire battle, and all they ever did was glare. Pathetic. I know that it's tough to wrap up all the loose ends in 6 episodes, but the fact that the main storyline of the entire series is dealt with, leaves a lot to be desired.

Who said Sansa was becoming tough as nails and a badass character? People have said she's becoming smart, but not tough.

Jon still charged into the middle of the battle and basically committed suicide before it even started, which made Davos have to charge to save him, which ultimately led Ramsay surround them. Just bad.

Jon was the one who sent the Dothraki to their death in the first place! lmao

Not sure about the Night King, but it's definitely not true of regular White Walkers.

If only they had two large dragons that could burn up all of the bodies...

This is true....but technically you dont need the dragons. Based on what we've seen, they're fairly combustible. Light one of em up, watch (and smell.....) as the fire takes over the pile. There's just a lot of them. Nasty work to be sure.

The dragons have worked hard. They need a rest and to recoup from their injuries for the tasks ahead.
Nope. All you need is some labor to create the piles and somebody with a torch o.O

The show runners said it afterwards when they were talking about the episode. It had to be Valyrian steel in the heart to unmake him, because dragonglass to the heart made him. So that's why he was immune to dragon fire.

Yeah the White Walkers can be killed just the same as anyone.

IMHO reward Drogon and Rhaegal by letting them eat the dead bodies :D
