Was wondering when/if Jordan Matthews would show up again, and its with his former team, which is in desperate need for receiver health. Jordan always seemed to be a decent receiver for the Eagles, even if he did drop a few balls. He was traded to the Bills last season for Ronald Darby. Now, they have both. Matthews signed with the Patriots this offseason in a much-hyped move, but was released due to an injury issue prior to training camp.

It's also worth noting last week they resigned Kamar Aiken.

And yet, somehow, Dez Bryant is laying on his couch.

It is a decent signing considering they need someone to run out there an catch passes this week. Matthews played in this offense with this coach and QB. So it makes sense. It certainly isn't sexy.

Dez's overrated butt can stay on the couch.

With Jordan coming back to the Eagles, the Bills essentially traded Ronald Darby to you guys for Harrison Phillips, lol.

File this under the "How did the Bills become so bad?" thread.

I actually felt bad for JMatt who gave everything he had as a Eagle his first 3 years, missing out in last year's SB Run.

I am among the few in our forum who actually like this signing. He already Knows the offense, terminology, players, locker room, coaches, facility, has a relationship both on and off the field with Wentz (best friends). Makes perfect sense "IF HE'S HEALTHY"?????

That's my only concern really. Since the minute he was traded it's been one thing after another? JMatt/Agholor can now be interchangeable (slot/outside) depending on the matchups forcing DB's to travel or switch.

With all the injuries at WR/RB Pederson needs to come out in  the Jumbo Package with Ertz ,Goedert, Agholor and fill in here and there with Gibson/JM depending on formations.

Go Jumbo 6th OL, pound the rock with Clement, Adams and god forbid Ajayi if not hobbled?

Good short term immediate answer IMO with upside if back healthy.

Question for Eagles fans: Nelson Agholor's breakout really seemed to come following Matthews  getting traded and Agholor taking up residency in the slot where he flourished.  So... does this now mean Nelson's giving up reps in the slot in order to shift over to where Wallace was running from or is Matthews going to be used on the boundary?

It seems as if Agholor will be used in both positions. Matthews is strictly slot where Agholor can play both but happened to be at his most dynamic in the slot. I’m sure he’s going to get looks outside in practice and if all goes well, will be inserted there Sunday. If it doesn’t work out, Matthews will just be in a bench/ 2nd string role. I expect a lot of 2 TE sets and an emphasis on the running game (we released a WR and promoted a RB from the PS) this week while Matthews continues to acclimate himself. There’s rumors of Alshon being ready for the game but it’s looking more likely he sits another week or 2.

Don't Eagles fans hate him because of his stone hands.

yeah guy can't catch at all but put up bulk stats cause he was in an offense with no other options. Now he's gonna be like the 4th/5th most likely guy to have the ball thrown his way on a given play when everyone is healthy or at least when Alshon is back probably next week.
