Looks like we are letting Collins go.

Not surprising, I think we should sign one in free agency though...

I'm cool with rolling with Schobert, Kirksey and Avery as the starters this year. We certainly could use some depth at the position, though.

I expect us to do something similar to last year when we signed Kendrick’s. Find a starter quality Lb and play him off the bench. Hopefully this time it works out.

Now the main question is are we cutting him, or will he be involved in a trade?

My guess is cut, since his contract is pretty bad.

I believe they could create even more cap space if they give Randall a new contract

Doubt it. Randell is making 9M this year. He’ll probably get that as an average. Plus the bonus money paid up front will take more cap. It would be a good idea to sign guys now tho. Since we have the money.

now this would be a stupid move

Yeah, absolutely no reason to do this until we are actually strapped for cash...

Also did this person actually look at the cap numbers?  I think Zeitler would save us 1.7 million in cap space if we cut him.  It would be about 10.7 in dead money.

If we traded him it would save us 5 million (still costing us 7.2).

NEXT YEAR however we could save 7.6 costing us 4.8 dead money.

Again I would keep him until we need the salary cap for Garrett or Ward or Baker...
