He's barely middle of the pack. Even in his breakout years, he was among the league leaders in lowest yard per attempt. That's who he is, a check down QB who is afraid to use his feet. 2) We can predict health. Regardless, KO has been slowly declining since 2016 and Jackson has been down as well even before injuries. Oh and Tom Cable is still coaching them 3) We're hoping he develops. Some players never do, though he looks like a hard worker who's going to put on strength in the offseason. 4) You have to hit on draft picks. Relying on rookies to get you in the mix for the playoffs is misguided to say the least. They won't hit on 5 draft picks next year (which only 3 are first round). 5) You don't win in FA. The difference makers rarely get free as Mayock said in his press conference. So you're overspending on tier 2 talents 6) See #3. Some will develop, some won't. That's the logistics of the game. Bottom line, Carr would have to go next level and the Raiders would have to hit on all 3 first round picks. And they'd still have holes on the roster. Too many holes to correct, develop and gel in one offseason. Again, you're crazy..... Teams that go worst to first have something positive, the Raiders are missing to much all over the roster. It’s possible but a lot depends on Carr. Just look at the colts who had a terrible roster last year but their rookies are stepping up and carrying the team along with Luck. I’m no fool though and Carr isn’t Luck but it is possible to improve.

Jackson's speed is ridiculous but Carr ran a 4.68 and 4.65 at the combine. Jackson would have ran a 4.4-4.45 at the combine so he is a lot faster but Carr is still one of the fastest QBs and never uses it. The average time for QBs at the combine is 4.93. I don't think he is in that convo 6 years later and several injuries under his belt.

People need to stop bringing up Carr’s 40 time, sure he can run fast but he’s not a smooth runner at all. Wilson Watson Jackson...besides all having “son” at the end of their names, they are all smooth runners who can go from 0-100 like nothing. Even when Carr had that 50 yard run against the Texans it was designed and if there was anybody remotely close to him he wouldn’t have gone as far. Carr is a pocket passer and he should play as such. That being said he needs to watch tape of Brady in the pocket and work on his pocket movement.

Yes, he needs to work on his pocket movement. And this has been a trend. He hears footsteps and often panics. He's rattled easily in the pocket when he's pressured a few times. He does need to keep defenses honest and not be afraid to scramble. Carr is basically Alex Smith right now. Safe, conservative passer who protects the ball. Except he's doesn't use his feet to escape and make plays the same way.

We are not talking about pure speed, it's knowing when to run, Carr can have a running lane for an easy first down and will still try and make a throw for an incompletion maybe it's awareness.
