At the very least they’ll get new uniforms when they are allowed to in 4 years. They’d probably pull a Rams and fix their mistake with alternate looks and get special permission from the league. (Rams did that with their retro one 2018, and have done that to hide their stupid bone away jersey) But yeah they can do what they want. It’s a dumb name and will forever tie Dan to the franchise as one of his last acts of flipping the bird to the fans. Has no loyalty, so you’d think the new ownership would want another reboot.
