This whole situation is crazy, but we need to talk more about how the starting LT for Washington is now Ereck Flowers.

Ereck Flowers playing is funny and all, but let's be honest here, we need to be talking about how the Redskins lost their starting LT because of botched scalp.

So does this mean the Ewreck Flowers show continues in the NFCE? Good thing they drafted a mobile, quick footed quarterback

They brought in Donald Penn over the weekend for a workout, don't know what the status of that is, but he obviously hasn't signed yet.  Flowers starting at LT would be a disaster.

Flowers starting any position on your OL was always a disaster, but I digress.

No. We really don't.

Oh now, @Woz, come come!

As a Giants fan (sort of) who waited patiently for Ereck Flowers to develop for seventeen years (was it?), I think that Redskins fans just maaaay be in for a pleasant surprise! After all, Flowers was the NINTH OVERALL draft pick in the first round for the Giants, back in the Jerry Reese Golden Age of Drafting, wherein all decisons were made according to size measurements and workout results- no sense watching all those boring game tapes, know what I mean? Reese, afflicted with hubris after his scout-by-number system paid off in the jackpot of Jason Pierre-Paul, kept reaching for athletic freaks, without regard for the minor question of could they actually play football.

Hence, Flowers: he's big! He's strong! He has long arms! AND, he was a high first-round pick, as noted above.

You'll soon discover that Ereck Flowers provides everything your team needs in a left tackle- uhhhh, as long as it doesn't involve pass protection, run blocking, hand placement, an ability to move his feet, or a willingness to learn. Pick, pick, pick, ya know?

Sure as the Cherry Blossoms turn out in the spring in D.C., watch for Ereck Flowers to bloom in the fall!!!

yeaahhhhhhhhhh ....

The first and fourth cut ups are against Ryan Anderson, a bust of a second round pick whom they haven't gotten rid of yet because he's cheap.
The third is against rookie UDFA BJ Blunt.
The fourth is against rookie 1st round pick Montez Sweat.

That's "better ... than [he] expected" ... #eyeroll
