Same happened with me. I've tried a few times. Even got through the 1st season and started into the 2nd. It has never grabbed me. I think I just came in too late to the party. It hasn't aged well, imo.

Season 5 wasn’t that good but 3 and 4 was amazing

It boasts the most well rounded and intimidating villain in cinema history. Vader is the bar in which all cinema villains are measured. He is complex, has a complicated connection with the protagonist (so not only is he a physical threat, he also is a threat to turn the good guys bad), and you legitimately fear for anyone face to face with him on either side of the coin. 2. The practical VFX are not only revolutionary but also hold up GREAT even 40+ years later 3. While it does exist in a sci-fi setting, the plot and story transcends the genre My 'why should I watch' is Mr. Robot Watched this show recently and honestly it's one of my favorite shows of all time, can't wait for season 4 to come out. My GF however wan't a huge fan. It does drag on at times (but what show doesn't?) and I feel like it does have pretty bad political/social commentary. But I loved the soundtrack, editing, pop culture references and the really cool camera shots. Also a big fan of all the surprise WTF moments and felt like the Director didn't overplay those moments trying to make each one bigger than the last. It does take awhile for the show to build up though, so I'd give it the 1st season and then make a decision then if you want to keep watching it or not. Garbage is what the prequels were especially Phantom and Clones. Last Jedi was a disappointment but if you cut out the stupid hacker/casino subplot, it's becomes serviceable at least. You can't say the same for Phantom or Clones. Edited August 30, 2019 by Xenos

It's a thread for people who need to almost be talked into watching movies they have never seen before or something like that. No specific genre. I'm going to start off with Star Wars. I've seen some of almost every movie. But, I just can't seem to get into. I'm willing to give it chances especially with all the newer movies and then the Clone Wars movie or show? But, I'm curious about what order should I watch, things like that. Again, not a Star Wars thread but it's just where I'm starting this thread off. Just stick to the OT (original trilogy): episodes 4, 5, and 6.
Xenos
Check out Rick and Morty. Probably the best and most consistent thing on television right now.

Maybe because I was more excited for Phantom after waiting for so long, but I came out really disappointed after the hype. It was slow, too CGI, direction was visually boring, the acting was really bad, and Jar Jar. Essentially the only redeeming factor was the Maul and Jedi fight at the end. Even the pod scene dragged on too long for me. I'm sure you felt the same way about TLJ.
Daniel
Prequels are better than TLJ by a wide margin. At least the action is good. TLJ was a soulless, series destroying, plot hole ridden, worst chase sequence in the history of film having, unnecessary sidequest, chemistry-less, self contradictory microwaved turd.
