Will find out tomorrow - but sure looked like the Achilles.   Crusher if confirmed, season-ender, and worse, Chiefs are on hook for 40M guaranteed and pretty much locked in from 2017-19.  Wow.

#Chiefs coach Andy Reid said star S Eric Berry has a potential Achilles tear. They'll know more tomorrow... but horrible news after a big W.

Yeah, just a brutal way to start the season after such a huge win. KC just can't catch a break defensively the last few years - they always get into the playoffs, and then when they are there, they are down some vital piece. Sucks for them, and really sucks for Berry, who is a guy that is really easy to root for.

stinks for Eric Berry, also it is an awful injury, that can end careers, or shorten them. Much worse than ACL, PCL or MCL tears if it requires reconstruction.

Derrick Johnson can teach him the ways of Achilles rehab.

It really does practically rotate, for us. For years Jamaal Charles, Justin Houston, Derrick Johnson, and Eric Berry have been taking turns having potentially career ending injuries. Those 4 players have missed the equivalent of 8 NFL seasons for us in the past 5 years to ACL and Achilles injuries (and that one bout of cancer.) It's ridiculous. And that's not including Ware and Kelce and Bailey who have all had season enders in recent years as well.
