Gmen
Gettleman got a lot of crap for his vision in rebuilding the Giants. But to this point, he's done a great job. Most importantly, he picked the right quarterback. They may be just a 7-9 team this year since it's such a young team, but this is going to be a dynamic offense with Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, and Evan Engram moving forward. Popular Post RuskieTitan
Clearly their 2-2 record and 4 games into Jones's and Haskins's rookie season is the appropriate time for Gettlemen to flex on all the haters.

In a 24 hour news cycle, you have to live in the moment. The haters are already nowhere in sight
Nozizaki
Still not sold on Jones or their offensive line. Their defense isn't exactly good. I'm glad to see them finally play up to their potential, they weren't as bad as their record the past 2 years, but they still feel 1-2 years from even winning a playoff game. MWil23
Clearly after this week, what we learned is that Gettleman should have taken Nick Chubb over Saquon as long as we're applying logic over a week by week basis. (P.S., from a value perspective Gettleman would have been better off drafting someone other than Barkley in Round 1 and then grabbing Chubb in Round 2)
BroncosFan2010
Jones is going to be a franchise QB and that's all that really matters. Respect to Gettle for not listending to the talking heads and taking the guy his team evaluated as the best QB available. Haskins was always overrated.
Art_Vandalay
The kid is looking good. In his first start, he did something I don't think Dak is capable of doing. Putting a bad team on his shoulders and leading them back from a huge deficit on the road. Dak loses Zeke and Tyron for a few games then suddenly looks like Nate Peterman.
Danger
Daniel Jones hasn't played defenses any better than what Dak had before New Orleans.
Forge
This need to make proclamations so early in the process is just weird. How can anyone know if he's done a good job or a bad job yet?

Forge
Just now, Gmen said: It wasn’t to early to make jokes and memes in the offseason. Why is it suddenly too early now? Because there is no indication that he's done a "great job" with the rebuild? And if you want to make fun of individual decisions at the time, that's fine, so long as you are giving credit for the smart decisions at the time as well, which is something that people don't often do, unfortunately (lots of people essentially won't comment on certain things unless they can cast it in a negative light or mock it in some manner, which you know, is the interwebz). People also need to be willing to walk back their own feelings when they have been proven incorrect in some manner, which is also something that a lot of people don't do, though I think the number of people that will would surprise a lot of people on this board.

He won rookie of the year and led the league in yards from scrimmage last year. He draws comparisons to Walter Payton and Barry Sanders. The concern was the Giants were going to miss out on a franchise quarterback by taking Saquon. They didn’t. One year later, the Giants have one of the most promising offensive backfields in the league.

Gmen
So what you’re all saying is that instant analysis and reaction is allowed in the offseason, but forbidden in the regular season when there is actual (albeit little) evidence. Ok 🤷♂️ It’s funny because as I type this, my coworker (49ers fan) stopped by to let me gloat, after laughing about the Jones pick in the offseason. His actual quote “It’s exciting. You actually have a franchise quarterback”. But on footballsfuture, don’t you dare evaluate until 3, maybe 4 years!
