Gronkowski hired as Fox Sports analyst

Curious to see how he does. If it's just his dumb jock persona, it could be bad. But if he's able to share some of the intricacies of offense, it could be good.

Please someone save us from Buck and Aikman. He can't possibly be worse than them.

Analyst?  You mean, like, he was hired to analyze things?  Gronkowski?

They should have a commentary between him and Emmitt Smith.

I mean either way it'll be entertaining.  It'll either be funny and good or totally crash and burn bad.   I mean they also have Skip and Sharpe together on a show so it seems like the way Fox Sports is going.  I'll probably never watch it anyway so what do I care.

Just remember, both Dennis Miller and Rush Limbaugh have been hired as football commentators in the past. Could it possibly be any worse than that?

OK yeah, maybe it could.

Could you imagine a football conversation between him and Booger McFar-out?

Are you sure that's just a persona?

I do think a lot of it is. He definitely fits the jock stereotype, but he's not dumb. He must be very football smart to have been able to play in the Patriots offense for as many years as he did. I think he could be interesting to listen to if he provides insights on football rather than just playing to the big goofball persona.

Well... I’m a big Gronk fan but was not impressed by his debut. Did not seem natural at all.
