49ersfan
Browns should have just fired Hue after 0-16. Instead, they keep him, fire him a few games into 2018, promote Gregg Williams, have a half season run with him & Kitchens, and are almost forced to keep Freddie. Instead of starting fresh they gave Hue another chance and that will cost them at least 2 years, maybe more if they keep Freddie and they keep struggling.

You're arguing semantics, you know that? "More than you'll usually see on an NFL franchise" instead of "a ton". Is that better for your sensibilities? Does that quantify it effectively enough? Nonetheless, there's enough of that volatility to fracture a locker room without proper leadership or a "win first" culture - both of which the Browns sorely lack. A team who went and tried to buy their way to the playoffs by getting a bunch of ridiculous egos and then are led by a more egotistical clown.... What could go wrong? Who did we 'buy"? OBJ this year and Landry for a fourth the year before? The only somewhat big free agent signing we made this offseason was signing Sheldon Richardson. The vast majority of the players on our team were drafted by us.

With watching like 1 Browns game this year, im certain you guys have like 4 exPackers in JC Tretter, Damarious Randall, Morgan Burnett, and Justin McCray. Tretter probably being the only notable one though

Burnett was decent but is now out for the year. McCray is solid depth. Wouldn't mind him getting a chance to start at RG as he's really only played tackle for us this year. Not a shock that we'd have a few ex-Packers since much of our front office personnel used to work in Green Bay.
candyman93
What hurt this team is Baker playing like a bottom 5 QB. If he was as productive as last year we’d be sitting at 9-10 wins at the end of the year. Now, we can analyze why Baker has been bad, it’s been a myriad of things: 1. Baker just not focusing and improving his craft. 2. Defenses gained more film. 3. Playcalling has been bad. 4. Offensive line has been terrible. 5. OBJ demanding for the ball and not doing **** when he does get it.

On a serious note, they are extremely lucky we do not have a promotion and regelation system that many Baseball Leagues outside of MLB employ, and also most Soccer leagues. I’m always Pro-Promotion and Regelation. Basically you have a sub league of the same amount of teams or more. Best team, or top two, take over the two last place finishers in the main league. I’d make it something like you have to finish Bottom 3 2 years in a row. Anyone can have a bad year once. I am for disbanding the owner but we still have good personnell on this team and we still have 60 million to spend thanks to Depodesta. Pull off a Texans - give up a ton of future draft picks for a young and ascending OL. You've got to rebuild the culture of that line, drafting a young rookie OT is only going to put that rookie in a spot where he's going to fail. Drafting Tytus Howard and Max Scharping was only part of the plan, getting them a young vet leader in Larmey Tunsil is what improved the Texans OL. Two firsts and two seconds (2021/2022) to Indianapolis for Quentin Nelson. Let Nelson serve as the veteran to whoever is brought in via the draft.
