I think it won’t hurt Madden at all. A majority of the Madden crowd doesn’t really care or follow college football at all. Plus there is a large percentage of them that don't even remember a college football game. Unless they’ve seen streamers doing dynasty builds on twitch or YouTube.

Agreed.

The only people who still buy Madden at this point (at full price release, anyway) are the people who make money off it by pretending its a good game (streamers and YT channels), and those who will blindly buy whatever turd they put out.

I doubt NCAA lives up to the hype, but I will give it a chance.   Definitely wont buy it at launch, though.

Man I'm hyped for this game. I used to love doing Online Dynasties with friends. Road to Glory was also a ton of fun. The Dynasty stuff (even offline) is WAY better than Madden.

One interesting thing about this game is how the landscape of sports gaming has changed since the last NCAA game was released.

In today's world, almost all sports games are dominated by ultimate team type modes. This includes Madden, NBA 2K, Fifa (now FC), and MLB The Show. Players love these modes and they make the companies a crap ton of money.

Back during like NCAA 12, 13, and 14, these ultimate team type modes were in their infancy and weren't a major force that they are today. From what I read, NCAA 25 will have an ultimate team mode with players from the past, but it won't be as prioritized of a mode as Madden and FC is.

A lot of the people who loved NCAA 13 and 14 as a kid/teenager are adults now. Perhaps they'll still play offline and non-ultimate team modes. I'd be interested to see how this new generation of gamers (people who are like 8-16) right now will feel about the non-ultimate team modes.

just a few more weeks for the big info dump from EA. July 19th is the rumored release date. I heard players can transfer more than one time in dynasty mode. ugh, I can't wait

I'm ready to start importing between the two franchises again like it's 2005.

I really hope they let the NCAA game really stand on its own since they don't have to bend to the NFLs demands. 

Things like dynamic stadium crowds based on how the season or game is going was once pushed by EA but scrapped because the NFL didn't like empty stands, even if only virtually

They haven't announced that you can do that yet, which leads me to believe we won't be able to.  I think that feature is going to be a causality of the new rosters.  You'd be importing a real player likeness into a game that they don't have the rights to use them in.  I hope I'm wrong, but that's where I'm at right now from reading between the lines.  You will probably be able to import your Road to Glory player into Madden for their Superstar mode, but I don't know if they can get around importing classes from dynasty into Madden's franchise.  Unless maybe it's a feature that is locked until year 5, when all of the "real" players would no longer be a part of the classes.

that would help a lot with immersion. I'm going to play with Pitt a lot so I need to a lot of empty seats at Heinz field, especially for noon kickoff games against a mac school

That makes a lot of sense. It's a shame because importing was a big part of the fun. That said, if it's missing, it isn't a deal breaker.

While I liked the feature back then, I dont necessarily think its as big of a deal now since you can fully edit and download custom draft classes in Madden.  

In reality, the importing draft class feature never really worked super well.   Ratings and draft placement got screwed up alot, and draft classes were rarely that accurate after imported.   

The reasons I liked it back then was because 1)  I liked playing Madden and NCAA concurrently, and b)  that was the only option for real life draft classes.

Honestly, I think that it was more fun to import the draft classes after all of the "real" players had left. It was fun to watch the guy that you won the Biletnikoff with in say 2019 show up as a rookie first round pick in Madden. 

It never really worked accurately with real players because being a great college player doesn't necessarily mean that you will be a good NFL player. A guy could theoretically be a 99 OVR, Heisman-winning QB in NCAA and yet not have those skills translate to the NFL. Players like Pat White or Tim Tebow should've been some of the highest-rated players in the NCAA version but it would've been silly for them to be the first overall pick if you imported them into Madden.
