JohnChimpo
I’m not a fan of 48, but I can see why he’d choose a number in the 40’s if he’s going to play DB in certain packages. I get why Lamb would wear 88. Here’s hoping his career is more Dez Bryant than Antonio Bryant.

Only makes sense in a matter of historical Colts numbers Pittman 86 Wayne 87 Harrison

EvilenFroggen
I’m excited about Jeremy “The Crimson” Chinn and lucky #21. I’m pulling hard for him to work out.

In 10-20 years, you'll probably see receivers go back to 80s because teams will be retiring numbers 10-19 for their QBs and WRs. That or they allow single digit numbers, in which case WRs in the 80s will be extinct.

That's what the name on the ring of honor is for. Retiring a number should only be done for the every best player in your franchise history. 1 each for Offense and Defense.

But they really should exemplify what that franchise is. Like they need to sort of transcend to being synonymous with a franchise. Like the Eagles have an absurd amount at nine. The two that are obvious picks for deserving this are Bednarik (#60) and Dawkins (#20). From there the only good cases are #15 for Steve Van Buren who was a dominant back in his day, lead us to two championships. And #92 for Reggie, had he not left and get associated with Green Bay so much he’d be an obvious one, he’s a lock for greatest DLineman of all time. Led one of the greatest defenses of all time in an era that would truly define a large part of the fan base and franchise.
