Forum Game: Tecmo Super Bowl Season - Pickle (bucs) wins the Super Bowl!!

Recommended Posts

NE at ATL: An early defensive score put the Pats up on the Falcons, with the ball back at the start of the second half. Turnovers hurt the Atlanta offense as New England did their usual job of slowing down offensive juggernauts. A missed field goal at the end of the first half made this closer for New England than they would have liked, and an interception returned inside the 25 at the start of the 4th quarter resulted in Atlanta's first lead of the game, but New England had a methodical downfield march for a go-ahead score. A goal-line stand and a 4th and 19 touchdown pass from Russell Wilson likely secured Wilson's MVP award at the end of the season. We should all hope to see this one again in the playoffs.

OAK at PIT: If there's one benefit to Ryan Griffin under center instead of Tom Brady, it's that Griffin has some rushing ability. Marshon Lattimore's leaping interception as the Raiders were driving for a score was the play of the game, in a game defined by ineffective Derrick Henry grind-it-out offense. Pittsburgh's playoff hopes survive another week, although it's an awfully tough road ahead.

LA at NO: The Rams let Kyler Murray, the worst starting QB in the league and the only starter whose backup is better than him, run roughshod over their defense. Fortunately, the New Orleans defense is also garbage and let Leonard Fournette terrorize them all of the second half in a crushing but not unexpected loss.

GB at NY: Getting Joe Mixon back is a godsend, and who's to say Ben Roethlisberger is truly a loss. A lot of things went very wrong for Green Bay and very right for New York early, but the Jets failed to truly capitalize with just two field goals deep in opposing territory until a touchdown following a second failed punt by Green Bay. No Aaron Jones is a huge problem for the Packers' offense, but they should be getting him back soon. GB has really crumbled following a promising start capstoned with a crushing win over the Houston Texans that now looks like a fluke, as the Pack has lost five straight games. New York now finds themselves in prime position to ****** the 7 seed from New England next week.

WAS at HOU: This game couldn't have started worse for Houston. Taylor Lewan got beat by Danielle Hunter on every single play starting in the first quarter, as Houston refused to call any run plays apart from the Wentz keeper. Houston's apparently blind linebackers also allowed Patrick Mahomes to run all over them. What should have been a 4-0 run for the Texans was a 2-2 ****show, and they'll now be lucky to make the playoffs at all given their final five games.

CLE at ARI: Josh Jacobs got hurt again, but with the way Watson is playing, it almost doesn't matter. Arizona falls ever farther out of playoff contention, and Cleveland still looks like a contender if things break right for them in the playoffs.

SF at DEN: San Francisco acquitted themselves better than expected, but Denver cruising to victory was a given unless Rodgers got hurt. He didn't.

TB at BUF: Dalvin Cook has a puzzling game with multiple attempts to headbutt blocked defenders instead of run upfield, but the Buffalo offense continues to prove it's a dangerous unit. Tampa Bay and Buffalo are two of the more well-rounded teams in Tecmo, with major playoff seeding implications on the line for Monday Night Football. Aaron Donald has been absolute terror recently and is making the Buffalo defense quietly one that could upset Atlanta or Denver in the playoffs.
