As much fun as he was to watch as a coach, I feel like he would have lived his best life post football. Yeah, supposedly there's brain damage so he wouldn't be himself anymore. Just a tragic situation and looking like an unfortunate loss of someone larger than life. He'll get remembered for being college football's well meaning, rough around the edges drunk uncle, but he was running the Oregon offense 5 years before Chip Kelly set foot in the state. Not gonna be the same without this problematic clown screaming at the pressers and making a bunch of great quotes, tremendous loss for the sport. I'm getting it as a Christmas gift for a friend's dad who's an old football coach/teacher.
