Are you willing to say that Pete Werner was as important or more to the Buckeyes winning than let's say.....Tuf Borland, Jonathan Cooper, Baron Browning? My point is Jordan Elliott was a PFF darling too, but I can't tell you a single play he made for the Browns last year. brownie man
I'm all in on Zaven Collins Outside of Patrick Surtain Micah Parson and Jaycee Horn Collins is my choice we have no player like him I say you get Collins and then see what we have in Greedy and Clowney before we spend a first rounder on another corner or defensive end.
candyman93
Really great read. http://thedawgland.com/2021/04/the-89-prospects-that-match-the-browns-data-led-draft-approach/ I honestly think Azeez is the guy if he’s available.

The thing is man. He’s a great pass rusher but thats it’s. With the way our defense is he wouldn’t be a 3 down player. I don’t see us spending a first round pick in a pure pass rusher. I’d rather draft Ronnie Perkins in the third than Azeez in the first
buno67
the more and more I watch Jabrill Cox, the more I want him. I think he is who I would want in the 2nd rd. I dont think he would be there in the 3rd.

I am not a huge Ojulari fan. But if we take him, it isn't to be a 2nd/3rd down player forever. It's to be a year one pass rush specialist who develops into a starting DE in year two. I feel like that’s an assumption fans are having. This dude might ball out and we sign him for a 4 year deal. That’s why I think we should wait a year if they want a pure outside guy. If he balls out, I would be fine with tagging him to keep him on 1yr deals

I say punt on a first rounder at CB and DE unless you have a clear plan to move on from Greedy and Clowney next year. You can only have so many staring spots. Please provide an example of a team that had too many pass rushers or good corners. Guys get hurt, they can play in sub packages together, DE’s rotate, players at every position benefit from being brought along slowly, etc. You seem to be focused on “What happens if everything works out ideally?” as opposed to “What happens if Greedy never returns, returns but can’t play at a high level, Clowney gets hurt, etc?” Im willing to risk having too many elite corners or DE’s personally.

Greedy has a permanent nerve damage issue and has shoulders built like a teenage girl. I even debate if Greedy is actually good or not. He’s just potential thus far. Clowney has never played a full season (except 2017) and I’m a HUGE Clowney fan. Edited April 24, 2021 by candyman93

It reminds me of the arguments for 20 years here about us not drafting another franchise quarterback because we would potentially have 2 great ones if Quinn/Frye/Kizer/McCoy/RGIII pans out. 😂😂😂
