About dang time, lets be real what has quinn done for this organization? He is a defensive mind HC who had Shanahan come in and work on that offense in which carried them to a superbowl. They have quality guys on offense and that was the only thing keeping Quinn afloat. They need to utilize that offense by bringing in a creative offensive minded HC that can get the best out of ryan, julio, ridley and co. Quinn had a respectable Defense the year of the superbowl but outside of that each year his defense was bottom half in almost every statistic. This new change will put a twist to 2021 season with guys like Brees and Brady on their last year of their career, Panthers still building up a roster with new coaching staff. Will be fun to watch once they find someone new.

The new regime will want their QBotF if they're in a position to get him.

Ehh you are stuck with him until 2023 you draft someone in the 2021 that puts him in year 4 of his rookie deal to take over unless they are willing to cut ties and eat 26 mil before 2023 season. I dont necessarily think they need to go in to this years draft to get a qb unless they land the #1 pick to get Lawrence. That is a different story but if they some how pull off a couple of wins this year and do not get that option then you have to just build around what you have and evaluate the entire team after a year or 2 then grab your future qb. The average HC spot has been 3 years, if they cant get things going by year 3 then they are likely out and a new regime steps in, obviously some organizations can wait longer but even so you are basically killing your chance of landing a stud player in the top 10 for a qb that wont see the field until 2023 and possibly after your tenure as GM/HC. So it is important to build to win now more so then 4-5 years down the road. Then again Packers did it and Rodger's is having an MVP type year.

Considering a rookie contract, you can swallow 26M after the 2021 season and make it a post June 1st cut to spread it out if they wanted to.

They might not be in a position to get a big talent at qb in the future. Do it while you can.

You think that team is turning it around in the near future with their cap situation/talent issue?

I think with better coaching they'd be a .500 team.

Fair, not sure I see that but too each their own.

I'd be very surprised if they take a QB (besides Lawrence for obvious reasons) at this point. Ryan, with the right team around him, can still take them places and with that contract...
