You want to see some whiney little *******? Cancel the game and watch 53 Steelers cry about not getting 1/17th of their salary

You want to see whiney little *******? Try postponing a Steeler game. You will have all of these supposed tough guys clutching their pearls in outrage.

It's getting to the point where Steelers fans are basically toddlers who have been told they can't have their sugary cereal and watch Saturday morning cartoons.

No one wants to hear y'all complain anymore. Just ******* accept that your schedule has been shifted around and friggen deal with it like adults. You guys are ******* undefeated and you want to ***** and moan like you are being treated unfairly.

BUCK UP AND SHUT UP

This is garbage.

The Ravens are the ones complaining and threatening not to play.

Art Rooney II has already committed to paying his players even in the event of a forfeit.  The ruling was clubs have the option of not paying the players.  Not that they are automatically not paid.  Hence why Steeler players have no issue if the game were cancelled.

If its postponed again because of the Ravens, it should most definitely require a Baltimore forfeit.  This is beyond absurd at this point. Steve Young saying it should be moved to next week so Lamar can be back because of playoff implications is beyond laughable. A decision like that would be a very bad look for the NFL when teams like the Patriots and Broncos had to play without their QBs.

That’s a horrible take by Steve Young. What about the Broncos game then. I know the chances are slim but the beat NO then the MFC 1 seed is impacted.

Im sorry but I feel no sympathy if they lose and fail to make the playoffs.

I agree 100%. As a human being im sorry Lamar has covid, hope he gets back to health. In regards to football, its the risk they all agreed to take.

Exactly. The NFL has a policy in place and they’re sticking to it. If the game can be played safely without spreading COVID around it will be played at the soonest possible time. Having a few positives or high risk exposures is not enough to cancel or postpone a game...just like the NFL handles injuries. The NFL has been consistent on that. The only reason they will postpone is if they are uncertain if they have isolated the cases. If they have isolated the problem...then the Ravens play. Organizations are responsible for their employees’ decisions.

Because the Broncos HC isn't a whiney little *****

You spent the entire offseason on these boards whining about a RTP call that happened in a week 5 game last year.

If Harbaugh's a "whiney little *****", you two must be related.

The people still complaining about the delays are the same people who said the Ravens should have been forced to trot our all the "healthy" players that were negative on the original game day last Thursday. We'd probably be hearing about how half the Steelers team and even more of the Ravens are sick now, if we listened to those people.

Ignore what Steve Young, or Harbuagh, or Tomlin or anyone says. The only reason they have/are pushing back this game is because the medical consultants they have tell them they have to.

They aren't being whiney ******* by being angry the game is being postponed. Where is the consistency? This is the 2nd time this season the NFL has screwed with their schedule in a highly negative way. The ONLY reason that the game is being postponed is because Harbaugh and the Ravens players have been complaining.

No, the reason the games are continuing to be postponed is because the Ravens' outbreak hasn't been contained. This has been explained a million times. The recent move from Tuesday to Wednesday was likely also due to Willie Snead's recent positive, and to give the Ravens one more day to contain it so that the players feel safe by Wednesday.

I don't understand how this is a hard concept to grasp. The alternative is that YOUR OWN PLAYERS would have been exposed to the virus by playing before it was contained.

If Denver was made to play with no QBs, The Ravens should have had to play on Tuesday at the latest

Again, very simple concept that a kindergartner can understand: Denver had ONE positive case. It was traced, and contained. They had days of no-positives leading up to gameday, so they played the game with the people ineligible to play who were close contacts. The Ravens, on the other hand, have had EIGHT STRAIGHT DAYS of positive tests, and 20+ players/coaches ruled ineligible.

Denver played because it was deemed safe.

Ravens were postponed because it was deemed unsafe.

Again, a 6 year old could understand this.

This is interesting, so a team could actually purposely get players infected to get other players back. If this game ends up not being cancelled or forfeited, then what would be stopping a team such as the Ravens from being purposely "un-cautious" about the rules given? This could maybe give a team time for somebody to recover or be no longer deemed as a close-contact, therefore helping their odds in the following games. It just doesn't seem like a practical rule at all, at least from a competitive standpoint.

Purposely violating protocol to get players either sick or exposed to COVID would be unwise. It would likely result in the punishments like the league has never seen.

I am not going to lie I did not read your wall of homerism I might have bought into some of what you guys are saying before the threat of a strike

Here's the original reporting on the strike:

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/11/30/fears-emerge-of-potential-wildcat-strike-on-tuesday-night/

There's no details as to why the players are striking, so any articles saying they know why the Ravens players were wanting to strike is pure speculation. All it says is:

Quote

Ravens players may refuse to play, if the game isn’t moved again.

It doesn't say why certain players are refusing to play if the game isn't moved again. It could be because they want extra time to prepare/practice/get their players back. It could also be likely because we're still having positive cases and nobody feels safe playing right now.

Or it could be because they are afraid they are going to lose if they lose they are pretty much on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs.

There is a reasonable vibe that suggest they are trying to  Force in 8 game Play off so that they get a free ticket
