Buffalo's going to wipe the floor with them, and they wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of grabbing a wildcard spot. Not with teams like Cleveland, Tennessee, and Las Vegas. Dude, face it. Your team's about to miss the postseason for the first time in 20 years.

They played them close in Buffalo earlier in the season, when they were in a much weaker position. They've gotten Stephon Gilmore and Lawrence Guy back, and both were out for that game. Tennessee is most likely to win their division. They own h2h tiebreakers over the Raiders and Ravens, and if they win out they'd have one over the Dolphins as well. There are 3 WC spots per conference this year, remember? Unless you expect the Dolphins to beat the Chiefs and the Raiders to win out with games remaining against Indy and Miami, a 10-6 Patriots team will edge out both of them for the 3rd wild card spot. The Colts can't afford to lose more than 1 of their remaining games, either, and they've still got to face the Steelers in week 16. Cleveland and Las Vegas are going to be locks for wildcard spots, I can tell you that. And, if Tennessee clinches the South, then Indianapolis gets that third spot anyway. Having 6 losses at this stage in the season is more consequential than you think.

There's no practical way for both the Raiders and the Colts to make it as wild card teams. They face each other this week. If the Colts win, the Raiders are essentially finished. If the Raiders win, the Colts then have to beat Pittsburgh two weeks later. Edited December 9, 2020 by Starless

But let's be honest here, this isn't even in his top 10 coaching feats. His 6 Super Bowl wins. His 3 super bowl losses. And then the year he got them to 11-5 (and somehow still not in the playoffs) with Matt Cassel playing QB. That roster with Cassel was loaded. You know, the one coming off an 18-1 season. This current roster? Borderline bottom 10 in the entire NFL. Not even comparable. What BB has done this year is remarkable.

The Raiders are a decent team, but they got blew out by the Falcons and needed one of the worst defensive calls I’ve ever seen to squeak by the Jets. They’re not even remotely close to a lock for the playoffs. Edited December 9, 2020 by Archimedes

Anyone who puts any trust in the Raiders is a damned fool.

Hunter2_1
It must be very easy to game plan against us. Think about it - our numbers 1 and 2 WRs are Meyers (who?) and Byrd (who?). Our number 1 TE is Ryan Izzo (who?). The issue would be OL, but you know Cam can't sling it much, and you know there isn't a safety blanket now. So stacking the box is a pre-requisite. On defense, we have a very undersized, slow and inexperienced front 7. Lateral runs have killed us as we can't set an edge. So there you go, a very basic yet effective gameplan in genesis. Yet we have beaten teams like Baltimore, Arizona and LAC where the discrepancy in talent in laughable. And we played the impressive Seahawks and Chiefs and Bills very close, overall. It shouldn't be happening. This is one of BB's best coaching years, for me. People that say we were expected to win 8-11, well that expectation was only there because of BB, wasn't it. (And if you're being honest with yourself, it's more like 6-9)

Had the bears traded for him instead of Nick Foles they’d likely be on the way to the playoffs right now. The issues are the pass catchers are abysmal. He's a career ~59% completion passer. As far as receiving talent, even in his MVP year with talent all around him he was 59.8% passer. I'm sorry but if you can't break into the 60's or better in today's NFL, you're just a garbage thrower of the football. He's actually at 66.7% this season with the Pats somehow which is a testament to Bill Bellichecks system and coaching more than anything. If you can make Cam Newton look average, you can move mountains. Edited December 10, 2020 by Saint_James
