If the arm was the driving factor you'd almost surely see elbow/shoulder damage first.

Collarbones break when a massive amount of force is applied to your shoulder, not hand/arm.

IMO I thought putting the hand down might have saved his collarbone, I was wrong but it looked like he was able to spin his body so that he landed more on his back in the end.

From the mayo clinic "Common causes of a broken collarbone include: Falls, such as falling onto your shoulder or onto your outstretched hand."

"significant injury" in McCarthy speak means his season is definitely over. And that's that

Wonder if it is fixation of the clavicle fracture or other structural issues?  Rotator cuff tear, labral tear?

Get ready for the next few weeks of speculation on the exact injury and surgery

Based on insight from several specialists who haven't seen Rodgers specific injury. TL;DR do not get your hopes up for a return this year. While it's possible he could be throwing after 9 weeks, his arm will have weakened/atrophied and he'll likely need an offseason program to re-strengthen the arm to pre-injury levels. That said the main specialist in the story is optimistic since these injuries generally won't lead to long-term loss of arm mobility.

The surgeon also said surgery doesn't necessarily mean a longer timeline.

Man, Mac is pissed in this presser. Definitely not happy with how his team played at all. Referencing mental mistakes etc.

They played like crap all around  ..  missed blocks, missed tackles.  Played like a shell shocked team instead of an angry team.  It was trash!  McCarthy said he saw a lot of "bullsh*t" out there ... not sure if he was talking about dirty play by the Vikes or crap play by the Packers .. probably both.

Cause he knows the honeymoon is over. Aaron can't cover up their mistakes anymore.

Should be good for the rest of the team. When you are winning it's hard to get on guys too much.

TBH Aarons gonna come back week 16 against MN to gear up for a super bowl run.

I can't think of a much better scenario than Rodgers coming back and dropping 35+ on MN to give us the North once again, and then going on to win the Superbowl.  Honestly, that would be the greatest year of football ever.
