But I feel if say a player has a $6 million deal. You can do some math with signing bonus etc and it be like a $2-3 Million Cap hit. I dunno. Ill give you and example If a player signs a 1 year deal worth 10M with 4 million base and 6M signing bonus both count against the cap (cap hit is 10 million) If a player signs a 2 year deal worth 20M with the base being 4M per year and 12M signing bonus. The signing bonus is split over the years of the contract (but the player gets the money up front). In this example the cap hit will be 10 Million If a player signs a 2 year 20M with the base being 3M the first year and 5M the second year and 12M signing bonus.
