patriotsheatyan
Assuming Watson is done for now, where would prime Matt Hasselbeck rank in the current NFL?
TakeTheBallDeep
Maybe somewhere in that Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield range?
SkippyX
His prime lasted the 18 games before the Super Bowl in 2005. He was a 98.2 rated QB then, a 91.4 in one other year, and sub-90 the rest of the time. I guess he did a really good job with a 7-9 team in the 2010 playoffs too, He earned 2 pro bowls and he won a popularity contest over Aaron Brooks another time. I'd say he is somewhere below Kirk Cousins and close to Derek Carr. The game is different now. Teams don't let you just be a decent QB most years for 10 years anymore. I guess the money is a factor. Someone like Trubisky who showed enough in year 2 would get a years 5, 6, and 7 to see what he really is unless he imploded. In Hasselbeck's case he peaked at age 30. Trubisky turns 27 right before next season.
Hunter2_1
12-18 range
TecmoSuperJoe
Top 10. Hasselbeck was at his best 2003 to 2006, and certainly one of the better passers in the league for a short stretch.
JiffyJag
Pretty much where Kirk Cousins ranks, I would think.
OkeyDoke21
Like 7-12. He'd be argued as a top 10 qb, and probably considered top 10 by more than not. Edited April 6, 2021 by OkeyDoke21
Danger
Middle of the pack.
Jeezla
Probably like 8ish. In that Stafford tier.
Chargers
Top 3 easily. 1. Matt Hasselbeck 2. - Gap- 3. Dak Prescott
Malik
Right there with the Derek Carr's of today's NFL. Massive overachiever as a 6th round pick though

JAF-N72EX
In the current era? Hasselbeck would be Kirk Cousins. About the same as he was then.
