There's certainly not a ton, but there's quite a few teams with better backup Olineman than center only Nick Harris, a guy named Blake, returning from leg tear undersized Chris Hubbard, and a later round rookie like James Hudson. Broncos, Raiders, Jets, Buffalo, Cowboys, and Eagles were the one's I came up with as teams to watch for OL releases and/or potential trade candidates b/c they had players that would be scheme fits in the wide zone. The Eagles made my list but that was in part before the Matt Pryor trade to the Colts earlier today. If the question is "what team has better backup OL that is willing to give those OL up?" .. that's a different story. Maybe we kept Billings because most of our DTs are so inexperienced besides he and Jackson. I dunno, I could still see him or a LB like Smith released later on assuming we add a DE. Maybe he goes PS for us pr even takes Dunn or Phillips spot when they get IRd. We Essentially have 2 spots to fill when they go to IR. That's a wrinkle that has not been discussed as a reason as to why Hodge may or may not make it through waivers. Brad Holmes & John Dorsey in Detroit likely would pay that amount due to their recently having to release Breshad Perriman. I wonder how many others would do the same.
