MalcolmBrown
It all sucks. I wanted Baker to be the guy, but I still saw him as middle tier in the league, which isn't bad, but would it have been enough? It's more about how long can the FO keep the window open. There aren't a lot of middle tier QBs winning the Super Bowl. That absolutely does not mean that I wanted Watson. The list below I underlined the guys who were certainly not top tier QBs. I think Baker is a lot better than people believe, however his ceiling worries me. Like you said, somewhere in that 10-15 range is sort of where I see his career peak being and its almost like signing up for QB purgatory. Im just ready to get the situation over. If the Panthers are willing to eat 6-8M of his contract and give us a conditional draft pick, do it. Either way, as fun of a player as he can be--I dont think the Browns are missing much by not having him as their QB. Kiwibrown
There are mediocre QBs and there are mediocre QBs who can catch FIRE Eli Manning and NICK Foles are guys that can go from the 20th best Qb to top 5 for a few games then drop back to being meh
pscottdai
So all this new Panthers rumors...what are the odds we trade Baker to them and take Darnold in return as a back-up for us, dumping Dobbs? Would be quite the interesting turn of events lol.
