MWil23
I remember when he was my kicker on my N64 Brett Favre Quarterback Club ‘98 game.

TakeTheBallDeep
Crazy how different history could be without Adam Vinatieri in the league considering he's just a kicker
y*so*blu
One of the greatest kickers of all time and a HOF shoo-in. If not for his famous kick through the snow, what we call the Tuck Rule Game would be just a Patriots playoff loss.
ChazStandard
Vinatieri vs Gostkowski is an interesting point when it comes to the HoF discussion. General consensus will be AV will get in and SG won’t, but when you compare their records there’s not much in it. They are 1 and 2 all time in post season scoring, and both miles ahead of no 3. They both have 3 rings. AV has the longevity argument, but SG has the higher career %, made more All Pros and Pro Bowls, and has 6 of the top 25 highest scoring seasons all time (AV best season is 56th all time). it’s interesting how you can have a stellar career, but a few big kicks on the grand stage will make difference between HoF and HoVG. Also, totally unrelated, but in looking up kicker stats I just noticed that Justin Tucker scored literally the exact same number of points, 141, four straight seasons. Which is weird. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/scoring_single_season.htm

I can name a couple he missed that are like that...
CKSteeler
Vinatieri should have been the MVP of Super Bowl XXXVI. Not Tom Brady.
