losing to Carolina & Detroit while only putting up 10~ those are the question marks???

I don't think getting mauled by the Rams gave us any new information

they went 4-2 in a tough division; beat 4 playoff teams for 11-7

isn't he like fringe top 10 and still learning

The reality of the NFL is that it's more complex than that. As long as he has a decent season, they'll extend him, because otherwise it comes down to, what is the alternative? And unless the alternative is guaranteed to be better or at the very least they believe it is, you don't typically move on from what you've already got in place.

The Raiders will sign him, please let him walk Arizona.

Lol wut?

You complain about Carr's fumbles and sacks and want a guy who flops at the sight of pressure like it's FIFA and has put the rock on the ground 4 extra times per year he's been in the league?

This is the same franchise that cut Josh Rosen loose and drafted Kyler with no promises that he'd be better - so this risk isn't something this team seems to shy away from.

Kyler's 5th year option is in 2023, so getting him cheap is on the table - and he's going to have time to really see his flaws on film and see if he can correct them. If it doesn't, Arizona had 2024 to hit the reset button, and who knows what QBs will be available by then.

There is very little reason to make a decision now (let alone in a season where he was in the MVP conversation early on). Losing key guys on that O impacted him, and his own injuries further slowed him down - that does not mean he's a lost cause to decide on this moment.

Yes, the alternative is what matters.  Fans are quick to want to get rid of a QB after a stretch of poor play, and replace with another QB that will have a longer stretch of poor play.
