Do you know enough to give up on Deshone Kizer?

Do you know enough right now to say its time to move on from Kizer?

Per @Cianaf, DeShone Kizer has lost 363 yards due to drops by his receivers. three. hundred. and. sixty. three.

I'd like to know how many INT's too and what his adjusted completion percentage would be.

That info is probably available but I haven't seen it.

Every qb deals with the occasional drop, but this receiving corp has been atrocious.  How many plays have our receivers made that bailed Kizer out? Hell, how many 50/50 balls have they won?

What I'm hoping for the next 7 games in evaluation of Kizer:

We get to see a legitimately good Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman to see how good/bad Kizer is. If they come back and he looks legitimately SOLID, then I'll withdraw my criticism of Kizer to the extent that I have.

You have my word @brownie man.

Conversely, if not, then I'll be extremely unrelenting.

I think expecting either Gordon or Coleman to be saviors at this point may be a bit much.

Gordon is talented as hell, but he's missed a LOT of time, as has Coleman.

They're an improvement for sure, but how much is still a HUGE question mark.

I'm not discounting that, just more or less stating that having 2 legitimate NFL WR's to throw to could give us and should give us an extremely fair and legitimate evaluation of D.K. going forward.

Conversely, Gordon could look like a guy  that hasn't played in 2-3 years, be extremely rusty, etc., and Coleman could still be a bust for all we know. I have a hard time believing that either is worse than Britt and Louis though.

I think their presence alone will be an improvement. Gordon may not have those monster games like he once had but he will most definitely attract the best of the opposing team's pass coverage. Coleman on down should receive a lot of favorable matchups. Makes all of our other guys like Duke Johnson a lot more dangerous and Njoku (Whenever he decides to catch the ball)

Y’all know Josh Gordon isn’t even 27 yet

and he’s never played with a pro QB as talented as Kizer regardless of what you think of him or not

and they Gordon played one game in the preseason and went for 200 yards basically

I have confidence he’s going to shine day one

even when he came back against Atlanta with Hoyer he went for 100 yards

Let him play we will win

And this doesn't even account for how many YAC the receivers would have had if they hung on to the ball.

I’ve seen zero improvement from him all year and I genuinely question his intelligence. He continues to do stupid **** for giggles. Either he doesn’t care or he doesn’t know what he’s doing out there.

I think it's both.

tonight was a real bummer. I think he maybe had two solid throws for the entire game. the first fumble was bad, but the second, I mean he knew Drango was getting owned, yet still held onto the ball instead of getting it out fast, turned his back to the blind side, and turned it over again. there have been drops yes, but there have been far more inaccurate passes thrown than drops. the good thing about watching today was that as a team, we played our best game of the season. The line wasn't perfect by any means, but Tretter was hurt all week, Coleman just had a concussion, and Drango we all knew was going to have some obstacles.

We need a capable QB period. If we had a QB who wasn't careless with the football, we would have won some games already.

Man y’all talking too soon

this is the same defense that just made Big Ben throw 5 interceptions

im not holding this game against Kizer that defense is legit we all knew that

idk why anyone is mad he struggled we all know that was going to happen

what did y’all think was gonna happen?

He’ll struggle against Cincinnati too that defense is legit

and the whole team will bounce back in a big way against The Chargers

thats my prediction

we’re going to finish 3-13

I like your optimism.  Peterman made the Chargers look like world-beaters.
