Cap wise it's similar to a mid-2nd round pick contract. Jackson Carmen is 1.6, 2.0, 2.4 over the next 3 years.

The only kicker is that Leatherwood's contract is fully guaranteed. Which is pennies compared to what we have in cap space for the next 3 years. If we cut him....so what.

And comes w/a 5th year option if it works.  My guess is he comes in, gets into the conditioning program right away to lose the bad weight and is a GameDay inactive all 17 games barring injury.  Next year he would be given first Crack at LG to replace Whitehair and maybe have a cost controlled young OL, especially if they add a C early in the draft.

If he's a swing-tackle that's a fine deal.

I'm all for loading up on OL.  Esp guys like him who was graded pretty high by most just 18 months ago.  I'm also sure I remember hearing his name pop up in mocks last year for the Bears too in the 2nd round. Win win IMO.

Took a glance at the TEs picked up and it doesn't look like there were many options available. Not good ones anyhow.

Didn't get any WRs but the Texans being ahead of us and also needing WRs and TEs has probably hurt us a bit. Like Tyler Johnson.

He's not. He got put on IR prior to the 3pm CST for that to occur.

Eberflus confirmed it. Seems weird that he was placed on day to day and then suddenly went to IR.

Perhaps because of Ihmir Smith-Marsette release?

Odell Beckham -- We're at the point where he might be the best option. If he can play and or even wants too, and doesn't resign with the Rams.

Cole Beasley -- If he can pass a physical.

Antonio Brown -- Just for Luls.

Swings....JJ Whiteside,  Quartney Davis
