TheKillerNacho
Writing was on the wall he had played his last game in Miami, I guess the injury was worse than we imagined. I wish him the best in retirement, and sincerely hope he's eventually able to recover fully. On another note, does this give us some cap relief, I wonder? Trojan
insane that a guy that posted a 44.5 inch vertical and 12' 3" broad jump can't jump at 30 years old, like I couldn't at 30 either but I had maybe a 4.5 inch vert to start with.
MagicMT
Comments like these from Byron Jones right here (and from multiple other players after or during their career) are making me so ambivalent about the fact that the NFL is definitely my (only) favorite sport. Wish there was a way for the sport to stay roughly the same but without all those life-altering injuries for the players. Enjoy retirement Byron and hopefully get better!

He heard that he’d have to pay close to $4,500,000 back and put the ball back in Miami’s court to cut him, I bet. Not like he has to sign somewhere else after being cut, y’know… he can retire after the financial situation is resolved in other ways. Miami could be petty and not cut him, but that’s a lot of cap space to let sit there.

Louis Friend
Either he's injured and cannot run and jump or he wants to collect a paycheck. Guess he needs to figure out which side he's standing on.
