this is exactly why I was upset when De'Andre Hunter went back to school. There is 15 guys I am perfectly fine taking at 16 and Hunter would have been the 16th. Of course you mocked all 15 before pick 16.

Ha yeah. I tried to go with an upside pick. I could see Kevin Huerter being a great pick for your system though instead. He's a 3 and provides a totally different style than Jackson or Warren. Just gotta figure out how to play them together or in a rotation.

Who are the specialists in this draft?

Ball handling? The best is probably Shamorie Ponds but he's not like Kyrie level or even that close

Passing? not sure if anyone qualifies tbh

Rebounding? Jarred Vanderbilt

Dunking? Mitchell Robinson

Shot blocking? Bamba or Robert Williams

3-point shooting? Gary Trent Jr. or Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk

Layup wizardry? Maybe Shamorie Ponds or Tony Carr but both are more bucket getters than layup experts

On-Ball defense? Khyri Thomas or De'Anthony Melton

Not necessarily specialists, but these are my superlatives of the non-elite prospects. Of those guys, only Svi, and Sagaba are specialists.

So with pick #5, I see 4 realistic options, with 2 being my bets at the top of the Mavs list.

Bagley - not counting on him falling, but possible

Bamba - one of the top 2 on our board imo (not including Ayton/Doncic)

Porter Jr. - top of our board I’d guess

Jackson Jr. - could go 4, but not ruling out us loving him.

Of Bamba or MPJ, who should I want more? Are either great gets?

What about Jackson?

I would love to have a anchor of the entire defense, the way Rudy Goebert does, so Bamba would be my pick.

I've printed this before, but feeling need to print this again, I feel this is one of the best drafts in terms of quantity I have seen in a while. I believe there are some true talents late in the first and in the second round more than any other year I can remember. I will list my choices for potential impact rookies in the late round and second-round sometime today but in the meantime if anyone feels like putting a list of players they feel could be a solid NBA players that may get drafted late first or second please advise.

Just like Kuzma late in the first, and Jordan Bell in a second we're great surprises this draft has those type talents as well I believe. Opinions?

My list of top late rd/2nd rd sleepers are

1- Mitchell Robinson. - high ceiling who needs some time.

2-Troy Brown - love multi-versatile players who have both offense and defensive versatility.

3-Jontay Porter. please stay in the draft bigman who can stroke it at only 18 years old.

4-D DiVincenzo. My personally fav for Boston.

5-T Dubval 1st rd talent any other year.

6-Mo Wagner modern day offensive BIGMAN, canhe play enough defense.

7-Brandon McCoy. old school bigman
