The league is literally wholesale sponsored by betting companies and has a team LITERALLY NEXT TO A CASINO AT THIS POINT.

This is gonna have to break. Cause no **** this is happening.

Detroit has 3 casinos near Ford Field. Jameson could have gone to any of the three to place his bets and he would have been fine. It’s stupid, but it’s the rules, and they are all aware of it.

This is a post no one cares about (fantasy) so you can keep scrolling.

At times, out of anger of losing my Oakland Raiders, I've been a person that's said putting a team in Las Vegas is stupid because of influences of what the city is famous for. In 2019 I made a fantasy expansion team to restart in Oakland, sort of a can I do better than the Raiders. I still think I'm doing better, but this suspension of literal gambling in the NFL having no players from the Raiders and two I've drafted (Cephus and Toney) is kind of a slap in the face wake up call that it's not just Vegas.  Shaka Toney was a guy I really liked on character and with his athletic ability I thought he'd be a better pro than in college as he shared snaps behind Micah Parson, Yetur Gross Matos and Jayson Oweh.

Team facilities also include transportation and lodging, so for all we know he could have been in his hotel room for an away game or on the flight home.

It does deserve a suspension, but this violation feels like a 1-2 gamer IMO.

Out of respect for Oakland and their losses, as well as my own past experience of losing a beloved team, I will refrain from making a tasteless "At least you have the A's" post here.

Looks at name, looks at player defending…

The Lions: Preseason favorites to win the division

Also The Lions: Gets 2/3 of their WR suspended for a good portion to the entire year for gambling before the draft

Eh, Stanley Berryhill is some random guy. Quintez Cephus has been injured since he was drafted and not expected to make the team. Losing Jamo for 6 games hurts but to be honest, losing CJ Moore will hurt the Lions. He was a stud ST guy and one of the few safety depth guys we had.

2022 WRs-> 2023 WRs

ARSB-> ARSB

DJ Chark-> Marvin Jones

Jamo for 6 games-> Jamo for 11 games

Reynolds-> Reynolds

Raymond-> Raymond

Raiders was a 9/10 pain, Warriors maybe a 2 or 3 outta 10, A's can go if they want idgaf.

Only issue with Warriors is the tickets became more expensive, but they are a Gucci team of their league so it makes sense and they paid for their new place with private money instead of begging Oakland for a huge number. Raiders season tickets were $400 for mid level in Oakland. A's games are cheaper than the hotdog. It was nice to have an affordable baseball team, but like you can't buy an A's jersey with a name because they trade everyone all the time. A's were more like go watch the visiting team and have a cheap fun experience than actual fandom to me. It sucks baseball is losing it's cheap team, but I think a lot of games in baseball end up cheap just based off how many games they play. I'm sure there will be a cheap Giants game if I want to take my kid to baseball, it just isn't every game is cheap.

I don't think there's currently a precedent for appealing a gambling suspension. I'm not sure if that's even allowed?

I thought Ridley appealed his and lost? I'm not saying Jamo will get off, just maybe get it reduced.

I don’t know that the NFL has ever gone easy on someone cause the NFLs rule was dumb

Eh, it's more that the press won't eat up the NFL being lenient here. There won't be backlash, so maybe it makes it easier for the NFL to do so?

Not illegal, but the NFL has clear rules, and he broke them.

Oh for sure, but I think an NFLPA lawyer can argue that the rule is a bit obscure and this is a first offense type thing. Like all players know not to bet on NFL games, and are probably aware they can bet on other sports, but to know that they can bet on other sports except when inside the team bus is an odd one.

Exactly. If you cant survive without betting on sports games........(I personally dont know why that would be the case, but whatever......) there are ways and means to scratch the itch which doesnt violate the rules.

Honestly, It wouldn’t surprise me if they take JSN or Jalin Hyatt in the first two days to keep the offense on track through those first 6 games (as well as being future Jamo insurance…..or replacement)………..ARSB can’t do it all himself and I can’t see MJJ or Josh Reynolds being go-to guys for this offense….

Jamo has shown us glimpses of what he could be when he’s on the field……..he just can’t get out of his own way right now
