2024 OL Talk

How do people feel about Dominick Puni out of Kansas?  Is he gonna be a guy who can still hang as a Tackle in the Pros, or is he more of a guy who moves inside for you?

I thought he struck me as a potentially serviceable tackle and he's got some decent tape there, but at the Senior Bowl, they've had him running some reps as a C that had me really thinking, going back to think about it some more.  He's got interior experience and he looked really comfortable with it.  Feels like a potential Day 2 steal to me.

There are so many freaking legitimate OT (even LOT) this year that I think Puni was moved in because of the roster. There are a few 5-position OL this year.

Maybe there isn't a top 5 T who is picked this year but I can't remember a draft class with as many good T prospects as this year, it's shaping up to an incredible class. I really really like Fuaga.

This Greenfield kid from SDSU looks like he has something, crazy deep class

SDSU had an elite line this year in the FCS, won’t surprise me at all to see a couple of those boys playing on Sunday

5) Lathum 6'6 335lbs 17/23   RT in college/RT or G in NFL

4) Mims 6'7 340lbs 23/13   RT in college/RT in NFL some think could play LT

7/8) Morgan 6'6 320lbs 27/35  LT in college/

7/8) Guyton 6'7 327lbs 33/29  RT in college/NFL project/swing T

10) Paul 6'7 315lbs 50/48   LT in college/

11) Suamataia 6'6 315lbs 58/42 LT&RT in college/NFL G possible swing T

14) Gonclaves 6'6 330lbs 105/106 LT/RT/LG in college/

Yeah, I am surprised that Mims hasn’t skyrocketed yet. Very small amount of tape available for review, but he started the whole game against Tennessee, the SEC’s sack leader, and completely shut down James Pearce and Tyler Baron.

Injuries are a concern, but from a talent perspective, I don’t think he’s far behind Alt and Fashanu.

Yeah the resume is light, but the physical tools are incredibly rare with that guy. Feel like we're gonna keep hearing more and more about him as we get deeper into the draft season.

Tennessee needs upgrades at literally every position on the OL.

Skoronski probably becomes a good guard next year, and Brunskill is OK (he can be OK as a center or OK as a guard).  But yeah, literally everything but LG is a pick possibility for Tennessee.  It's really, really bad.
