Good for him though and good for Boise! Look forward to seeing him play. I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember reading that Nelson struggled and was pretty much told he wasn't going to be the starting QB next year.

Threat for sure but with what Ohio State has returning, they will be the real favorite to win the conference. They have Tuimoloau, Tyleik Williams, Sawyer, Ty Hamilton all returning along super star RS FR Jackson on the edge, that along with Egbuka and Henderson oh and the addition of Judkins... Yeah that is ridiculous talent even without a top flight QB assuming Will Howard wins the job, that DL is outstanding...oh and Burke is back at CB, and Igbinosun and Hancock and at safety Ransom and Styles. Almost everyone defensively so yeah that run game and D will be arguably the best in the nation.

QB obviously a huge question mark right now Totally disagree on the defense, sure Michigan has super stars in Grant and Graham inside but the edge guys are just ok compared to Tuimoloau who should be a 1st round pick, Sawyer where if he keeps up like he played in that bowl game could be a fringe 1st rounder and Jackson who come be a 1st rounder in a few years. Not to mention Tyleik Williams arguably could have been a 1st rounder in the up coming draft if he declared. LB Ohio State has question marks but are lucky Simon is coming back, Michigan has questions as well but benefit greatly from getting Barham and returning Hausmann. Will Johnson is legit but honestly he might be the only super talented DB on Michigan that is returning, where Ohio State has three legit corners all who will play in the NFL and two very promising safeties who are also NFL talents also. Michigan losing what that entire OL outside of Hinton maybe, yeah that is going to be hard to deal with and not sure they get three transfers coming in who were starters before like Henderson, Nugent and Hinton this past year in the portal but I guess the portal is still open. Ohio State DE Tuimoloau DT Tyleik Williams DT Ty Hamilton DE Sawyer/ Jackson OLB ILB Simon OLB CB Burke CB Igbinosun/ Hancock FS Ransom SS Sonnie Styles Michigan DE Stewart DT Grant DT Graham/ Benny DE Moore OLB Barham ILB OLB Hausmann CB Johnson CB FS Moore SS Sabb The leadership and experience Michigan is losing, that is going to be hard to overcome and win the Big Ten again next year. Stewart was a stud down the stretch and Moore has played very well, looks on the verge of a breakout. Graham and Grant are not just good there impact is on an entire different level than anyone one OSU’s line. Benny will step into Jenkins roll without considerable drop off. The depth won’t be as good as last year obviously but they will still be in the hunt for best dline in the country. Your completely undervaluing this secondary that will be one of the best in the country. Mikey will be missed no doubt but Johnson mite be the best corner in the country. Moore, Paige and Sabb is as good a 3 man safety unit as you will find all 3 are studs. Rod’s been good sense he was a true freshman and Sabb really came on as the season progressed. Overall you can expect Michigan’s D to look a lot like it did at the end of this past season which was the best in the nation. The coaching situation could play a big factor however losing Minter would be a huge blow. OSU has there 5 stars, Michigan is a lot better at evaluating talent than any of the services and this has proven out. The oline will be fine. Herbert is an elite trainer. Moore is an elite oline coach. There a plenty of 3/4 year guys that have been waiting there turn and looked good in limited looks. They also picked up Josh Priebe from NW. Corum can’t be replaced but the runningback room is strong . Edwards is a premier pass catching back (although they don’t utilize him enough) and Loveland mite be the best TE in the country. QB is the real question and the wr’s feel average.

QB is the real question and the wr’s feel average. There is no way Tuimoloau/ Sawyer/ Jackson are not better than the Michigan edge rushers, absolute zero chance of that. Sure the interior for Michigan is better no question they are better than anyone in the nation there. But you also realize that Ohio State gave up less TDs than Michigan last year and less yards overall. Michigan gave up less yards per game. Granted Michigan played two more games so that TD number is higher as is the yards number. So they are both very close and one D is losing a hell of a lot more than the other.... Colson, Sainristill, Jenkins, McGregor, Harrell, Barrett, Paige, Wallace etc that is a ton and they will greatly miss Sainristill's versatility on the back end and Colson was easily their best LB by far. Ohio State and their secondary is totally stacked and return pretty much everyone outside of Proctor. Yeah they are beyond solid and have the best three group of CBs in the nation with the emergence of Hancock. Michigan had Ohio State's number the past two years for sure and totally deserve the National Title, but that might be just too much leadership to lose when you are talking HC, possibly DC and all of the team leaders basically and all of the OL. Ohio State should be super motivated next year and if those guys take another step they will be lights out, they were great defensively last year and a lot of them did not even play that well on the DL or reach their potential, think if they actually do next year. And I assume they will change to more of a power run game at Ohio State with the best SR RB returning in Henderson and Judkins, that is nuts. Curious if Judkins will transition to WR or not, possibly a slot WR because is odd he goes to Ohio State who has the best SR back in the nation returning for next year. Either way they should be poised and motivated I would assume very much so.

Obviously both defenses benefited from a lot of bad big 10 offenses but the eye ball test says Michigans D was significantly better than OSU it wasn’t really close. OSU’s offense left them out to dry but OSU wanted that bowl game and took it seriously. The defense looked soft as usual. Washington would put up a 50 burger against that defense. Bama likely a good 40. They would not have given Penix or Milroe near the problems or pressure that Michigan did. Personally I think JTT mite be the most overated player in the country, Sawyer is woefully average. They are edge setters. There secondary doesn’t ever seem to play up to there supposed talent. We disagree and that’s cool but I think Michigans defense is straight up better from front to back. ( fyi Paige is coming back)?
