notthatbluestuff
Year 1: consensus = nope Year 2: consensus = nope Year 3: consensus = nope Now? You've got the years of success, the Taylor Swift stuff which really seems to bother some people, the Mahomes/Reid heel turn against the Bills. Has it finally happened? Have the Chiefs lived long enough to see themselves become the villains?
BetterCallSaul
Yes. The top teams are always villains if they’ve been to the top multiple times in a 5ish year span. I don’t care how charming you are—if you’re always good, we root against you. FOR PARITY!!!!!
Nightmare
The rest of the league is now finally catching up to where the AFC West has been for the last few years, where they absolutely have been the consensus villains.
notthatbluestuff
I feel like I'm being gaslit here after years of "it takes more than winning to be villains bluestuff you fool!!!"
Malfatron
Mahomes whining to josh allen has put them over the edge for me into villain status

TheKillerNacho
Patrick's ego has gotten out of control. Thought so in the game against us, and complaining about a legitimate penalty has pushed him over the edge to me. Yes.
TitanLegend
I like Andy Reid too much to say that. Don't care one way or another about Mahomes, Kelce or anyone else on their roster, so no player that makes me like or dislike them/cancels out the Andy Reid love from me. BetterCallSaul
I don't blame Mahomes for pleading to the refs. Tha'ts petty. I simply hate the Chiefs because they are good. And I used to hate them for having Frank Clark & Tyreek Hill--two dudes that should be felons. Every team has dudes that whine and cry to the referees for flags. Multiple dudes. It's part of the game, to be honest.

Tbh there's crying for flags and then there's what happened last night, it's another level. How many times have you seen the losing QB complaining to the winning QB about a call during a postgame hug?
skywindO2
After yesterday, unquestionably yes.
LeotheLion
Mahomes has been this way his entire career. He's just hardly had any losses stacked together that you really never saw it. I'm assuming he will apologize for his postgame comments because people will get in his ear and say he's got an image to keep up.
Jakuvious
It's been yes for awhile, people just haven't wanted to admit it.
